Odessa shelter for homeless animals "Ark" was established in 2001, Associate Professor ONYUA, president of the Odessa Union for Animals . But before 2005 a
certain location at the shelter was not, as in the habitats encountered "numerous problems", so the "Ark" constantly had to move. The shelter was located some time
on the streets of Ilf and Petrov, on the street and Industry, on the street Bogatova etc.
It was only April 19, 2005 came into force on the disposal of Mayor on the establishment on the site formerly known institutions for the capture of animals "Box"
Animal Shelter "Ark".
The area on the street Filling, 11 became the seventh (!) and is home to shelter them today.
In the shelter get animals that need help and can not live on the street. These are animals that fall into the veterinary clinic because of involvement in an accident, or
people are on the street and bring them to the shelter.
To date, the shelter "Ark" contains about 200 animals, including dogs, cats and puppies. Animals live in different places: cats live indoors, and dogs who walks in the
area who are in the room, and who sits in the cells. The cells sit, as a rule, animals or infectious patients, or very aggressive, but even their employees "Ark" displays
on the street.
